Salisbury Changemakers 800th Anniversary: Get Involved

Time to read: ~ minutes,

We're looking for local volunteers, community groups and charities to help us celebrate the incredible contribution of the voluntary sector and inspire even more people to get involved.

Salisbury 800 celebrates the 800th anniversary of Salisbury's first Royal Charter. It's a city-wide programme of events and activities that brings people together to celebrate Salisbury's past, present and future.

As part of the Salisbury 800 celebrations, Salisbury Changemakers is shining a spotlight on the people and organisations making a positive difference across our communities.

Over the coming months, we'll be gathering and sharing stories from volunteers, community groups and charities through two exciting opportunities:

Salisbury Radio interviews

We're looking for volunteers and organisations who would be happy to chat about their experiences, the difference volunteering makes, and the impact it's having in our communities.

Changemakers Photography Exhibition (launching April 2027)

We're also creating a photography exhibition showcasing the people behind Salisbury's vibrant voluntary sector. We are aiming to have both a physical Exhibition and an online gallery and your photos could be used in either/both of these. We'd love to feature volunteers, staff, trustees and community organisations who are helping make Salisbury a better place.

Whether you're a volunteer with a story to tell, or an organisation that would like to highlight the contribution of your volunteers, we'd love to hear from you.

If you're interested in being involved in either the radio interviews, the exhibition, or both, please complete this short form and the relevant person will get back to you: Salisbury Changemakers Expression of Interest Form

This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the people who give their time, skills and energy to support others and to inspire more people to get involved in their local community.

Please feel free to share this invitation with anyone else who you think may be interested in getting involved. We'd love to hear from as many local people and community groups as possible.

We look forward to hearing your stories!
